Strategic Plan
What is strategic planning? Strategic planning is when an organization’s leaders define their vision for the future and identify their goals and objectives. The process includes establishing the sequence in which those goals should be realized so the organization can reach its stated vision.
On March 16, 2021, our Board approved a five-year strategic plan. This plan identified four principal goals to strive for. These four goals are…
- Improve alignment of Lodge programs with BPOE USA mission objectives
- Improve Lodge sustainability
- Improve Member engagement and Lodge participation
- Strengthen community awareness of Lodge value
Strategic Plan Mapping
What is strategic plan planning? Strategic plan mapping is the periodic assessment of what has been done and its effect in meeting a strategic plan’s goals and objectives. It’s the follow-on work from the plan. If the plan sits on a shelf and isn’t actually reviewed or worked on, it’s not a plan; it’s a dust-collecting mechanism.
On March 17, 2023, our Lodge Long-Range Planning Committee conducted the first strategic plan goal-to-action mapping for our Strategic Plan. This information was presented to the Board and is available for all our Members to review here. It is hoped that this mapping is the first of many assessments needed before a new strategic plan is adopted in 2026.
